Frequently Asked Questions
Can I email you a scanned version of my fingerprints for electronic transmission to the RCMP?
Unfortunately we cannot process scanned version of fingerprints. You would need to send us the original fingerprint form and the other documents, as per the check list.
How will I know that you have received my documents?
Once we receive your documents and transmit fingerprints to the RCMP, we will send you a confirmation email.
Can I get my fingerprints taken on the form used by the local police?
Yes you can. Please make sure the fingerprint layout of the fingerprints is the same as on the RCMP’s form or the FBI’s fingerprint card. Please have a look on the sample fingerprint form in the application package.
The certified criminal record check also needs to be legalized by an embassy in Canada. Do you offer this service?
Yes we can get the documents legalized for an additional cost. Please give some details and we will let you know the cost.
Can RCMP mail the Certified Criminal Record Check outside of Canada?
Yes via Canada Post regular mail, at no additional cost.
Can I print the fingerprint form emailed by you and get my fingerprints taken on it?
Yes you can use that form.
I have a photocopy of fingerprint form. Can I send it to you for processing?
We cannot process fingerprints from a photocopy. You need to send us the original fingerprint form (hard copy) via mail or courier.
I need the Certified Criminal Record Check urgently. Can the RCMP send it to your company and you can then forward to me via courier?
Yes you can. Please send us a quick email providing your complete address and phone number. We will obtain a quote from the courier company and let you know. A third party consent form will be required.
In case you need a police check for US Visa/Immigration, you can only receive it directly from the RCMP via Canada Post regular mail.
When I went to the police to get my fingerprints taken, I forgot to take my right thumb print on the third party consent form. Do I need to go back to the police to do it?
You can use an ink pad (any colour) and put your right thumb print on this form.
Why do you ask for a photograph?
A photograph of the applicant is printed on the certified criminal record check.
How can I pay for your services?
You can pay via Credit Card (Visa or Master Card only), PayPal, international money order or an email transfer. If you want to pay via PayPal, send us a quick message to request a PayPal invoice.
We do not accept bank transfers.
Can my friend or relative pay on my behalf?
Yes they can. You can forward credit card payment form to your friend or family member. They can complete it, sign it and email to us.
How can I check the status of my application?
Once we receive your documents and transmit fingerprints to the RCMP, we will send you a confirmation email. Unless authorized by the applicant, the RCMP do not release any further information to Worldwide Forensic Services Inc.
I Just Need a Basic Name and Date of Birth Based Check. Do You Offer That Service?
