Apply for an FBI Identity History Summary Check (police check)
The process is simple and convenient:
- Walk-In Service
- Bring two valid IDs to our office.
- We will take your fingerprints and provide you with a standard FBI fingerprint card (FD-258).
- You can apply online and mail the fingerprint card to the FBI.
- Cost: $39.00 plus HST (includes the fingerprint card).
- One-Stop Service
- Let us handle the entire process for you.
- Cost: $110.00 plus HST (includes the US$18.00 FBI fee and end-to-end service).
- International Service
- If you are outside Canada, we can email you a complete application package.
- Have your fingerprints taken locally and send the completed FBI fingerprint card and forms to us. We will manage the rest of the process.

Simple steps for applying Identity History Summary Check from the FBI USA
The process of obtaining an Identity History Summary Check (police certificate) is simple and straightforward.
- Walk-in
Walk-in with two valid IDs (one has to be a photo ID). We will take your fingerprints with a live scan machine and print them on a standard FBI fingerprint card with a FBI certified printer. - Apply Online and Send the Fingerprint Card to the FBI
Mail or courier the physical fingerprint card and the FBI’s confirmation email to the FBI. - Receive Your Police Report
The FBI will process your fingerprints and send you an email to download the police report from their website.
Free retake policy for rejected fingerprints
Rejection of fingerprints taken with a live scan machine is uncommon. However, in rare cases—such as due to skin conditions or age-related crease marks—the FBI may reject fingerprints. In such situations, we offer one free retake to ensure a successful second submission.
